Not every job on the Midcoast needs a heavy-duty truck. Project managers, estimators, caretakers of seasonal properties and crews that carry tools rather than tonnage are well served by a Sierra 1500 or Canyon.
GMC rates the Sierra 1500 for up to 13,300 lbs of towing, and the Pro trim is its work-focused version. The Canyon's TurboMax engine makes 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft and tows up to 7,700 lbs in a midsize truck that fits village streets.

A midsize pickup for lighter loads and tight spaces.

Rich works with business and fleet customers at Quirk GMC Rockland - from one Sierra for a contractor to several vehicles for a town - and can recommend the right upfit for the work.
If it mostly carries people, tools and lighter material, it usually is. If you will carry a body or a plow, or tow heavy equipment most days, look at the Sierra HD. Describe a normal week and we will point you to the right truck.
The Sierra 1500 gives you a full-size bed and up to 13,300 lbs of towing. The Canyon is smaller and easier to park, and still tows up to 7,700 lbs - a good fit for estimators and managers covering a lot of ground.
